Pearce joined Manawatu Jets for the 2002 New Zealand NBL season, playing in New Zealand, and was named Rookie of the Year.
He joined Otago Nuggets for the 2006 New Zealand NBL season, winning the Garry Pettis Memorial Trophy as rebounding champion with 11.9 rebounds per game.
During the 2006 season, he recorded 28 rebounds against Manawatu on 4 June in a triple-overtime game, a mark later matched as an equal modern New Zealand NBL record.
Pearce joined SV Oberelchingen for the 2006–2007 Regionalliga season in Germany.
He stayed with Otago Nuggets for the 2007 New Zealand NBL season, and the team finished 10th with a 2–16 record.
Pearce returned to Manawatu Jets for the 2008 New Zealand NBL season, scoring 13 points in a 76–69 loss to Otago in Timaru.
He joined Hawke’s Bay Hawks for the 2009 New Zealand NBL season, when the Hawks finished sixth in the nine-team league, and stayed with Hawke’s Bay in 2010.
He returned to Manawatu Jets for the 2011 New Zealand NBL season, and the team finished fifth before an 89–76 quarter-final loss to Nelson.
Pearce stayed with Manawatu Jets for the 2012 New Zealand NBL season, playing 17 games and averaging 1.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 10.2 minutes while shooting 41.7 percent from the field.
He remained with Manawatu Jets for the 2013 New Zealand NBL season, playing 11 games and averaging 0.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 5.8 minutes while shooting 36.4 percent from the field.
COACHING HISTORY
Pearce coached South Adelaide for the 2011 Basketball SA Premier League season, giving him an Australian state league coaching stop in South Australia.
Woodville followed in the 2012 Basketball SA Premier League season, continuing his state league coaching run before later Victorian and Queensland stops.
Nunawading added a SEABL coaching stint in 2014, placing him with the Spectres in the Victorian state league system.
Southern Tigers followed in the 2016 Basketball SA Premier League season, giving Pearce another South Australian state league coaching stop.
South West Metro brought him into the NBL1 structure in 2021, adding a Queensland state league coaching stint with the Pirates.
Norwood appointed Pearce as its NBL1 Central men’s head coach for the 2026 season. The Flames opened with a revamped roster under him, and Thomas Kurowski joined Norwood for the 2026 NBL1 Central season after speaking with Pearce before signing with the club.
