STATE LEAGUE EXPERIENCE

  • AIS (2001–2002), Newcastle (2005–2006)

Davidson joined the Australian Institute of Sport for the 2001 SEABL season, moving into the AIS men’s program as a Gosford junior and appearing in a scholarship group that included Rhys Carter, Daniel Kickert, Alex Loughton, Luke Schenscher and Cameron Tragardh.

The AIS retained Davidson for the 2002 SEABL season, with the men’s roster also including Andrew Bogut, Aaron Bruce, Aleksandar Maric, Damian Martin, Daniel Kickert and Sam Harris. That AIS group won the 2002 SEABL East Conference championship, with the title coming during Davidson’s second year in the program.

Davidson joined Newcastle for the 2005 state league season, returning to New South Wales after his AIS and college pathway. The Newcastle stint gave him another state league stop in his home region, with the 2005 season forming the first year of his listed run with the club.

Newcastle retained Davidson for the 2006 state league season, completing the second year of his listed 2005–06 stint.

COLLEGE

Davidson accepted a scholarship to play college basketball at Boise State during the 2002-03 season, before suffering knee injuries that prevented him playing.

Davidson was forced to redshirt that season after undergoing surgery on both knees and exited the team in November 2003 without playing any NCAA games.
