Mickey Dennis Jnr joined SISU Copenhagen for the 2004–05 Danish Ligaen season, playing his first season in Denmark.
Dennis later moved to Team FOG Næstved in Denmark’s top flight and is credited with a multi-season run there from 2006–2010, including a season in which Team FOG’s club history notes he finished as the team’s leading scorer at 20.8 points per game while also playing alongside Sasa Djordjovic and 217cm import Wesley Morgan, with that campaign also featuring the first cup-final appearance in the team’s history.
After his Team FOG Næstved stint, Dennis returned to Copenhagen Basketball in Denmark’s Basketligaen and posted three straight full seasons of verified production from 2011–12 to 2013–14, averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.6 steals in 30 games in 2011–12, then 17.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 30 games in 2012–13, before finishing 2013–14 at 16.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.6 assists across 29 games.
On January 12, 2014, a feature on his Danish career noted Dennis scored 20 points in a 106–103 overtime win over Randers Cimbria, and that his first basket that night took him past Peter Johansen’s long-standing Basketligaen career scoring mark, moving him to a new record total of 4,184 points at that time.
Dennis later appeared for Stevnsgade Supermen in Denmark during the 2015–16 season.
COLLEGE
In 1999-00 at James Madison, he played 29 games and made 20 starts, averaging 23.7 minutes, 7.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while shooting .419 from the field (70-of-167), .333 from three (24-of-72), and .877 at the foul line (57-of-65). He totaled 221 points, 76 rebounds (23 offensive, 53 defensive), 48 assists, and 44 steals, and his 44 steals led the team that season; his best single-game scoring output was 17 points. James Madison finished 20-9 overall (13-0 at home) and 12-4 in conference play, and in the CAA Tournament they beat William & Mary 84-73 before losing to Richmond 80-65, with Dennis starting in the regular-season conference win over American on January 5, 2000 and scoring 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting (2-of-5 from three) with 3 rebounds and 3 assists in a 59-52 result.
In 2000-01 at James Madison, he appeared in 14 games with 8 starts and averaged 21.7 minutes and 5.1 points per game, totaling 71 points while shooting .273 from the field (21-of-77) and .286 from three (10-of-35). He was perfect from the free-throw line for the season (19-of-19), and added 43 rebounds (14 offensive, 29 defensive), 18 assists, 6 steals, and 4 blocks. James Madison finished the 2000-01 season with a 12-17 overall record and went 6-10 in conference play.
