BIO: Tim Duggan was born in Darwin, NT and began playing basketball as a junior with the Cairns basketball program.
He made history by making it to the NBL, becoming the first Northern Territory born player to reach the national league.
NBL EXPERIENCE
Tim Duggan made his NBL debut with the Gold Coast Rollers at 19 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.
1996 would be the Gold Coast Rollers final season in the NBL. The team began the year financially unstable and was unable to re-sign imports Steve Woodberry and Fred Herzog.
Duggan appeared in seven games, scoring three points on a long range bomb against Adelaide.
CAIRNS TAIPANS
2000/01
During the 2000 season, Duggan averaged 1.5 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists and was a part of the Taipans squad which finished in a first place with a record of 2-26.
2001/02
In 2001 Duggan averaged 3 points and 0 rebounds, and 2 assists, and helped guide the Taipans to a ninth place finish in the regular season with a 6-22 record.
Tim Duggan played three seasons in the NBL, playing for both the Gold Coast Rollers and the Cairns Taipans. He averaged 1.4 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 30 NBL games.
