David Andersen’s Montepaschi up 2-0 in Italian playoffs

Montepaschi Siena hosted Cimberio Varese on Saturday May 19 in Game 2 of the playoffs.  Although the scores were a little closer than the last game, Montepaschi still managed to walk away with a comfortable 16 point win, 88-72.  Dave played 14 minutes and scored nine points, shooting at 66.7% from the floor.  Ksistof Lavrinovic was the top scorer and rebounder for Montepaschi with 19 points and five rebounds.

Dave has been playing exceptionally well as of late. Last week he  become the first player to ever win our International Player of the Week award for the second time in as many months.

Montepaschi will now travel to Varese for their third game in the best of five playoff series on Monday May 21.  If Montepaschi win the next game they will clean sweep the first round of playoffs and head into the quarter finals.
