Corey “Homicide” Williams grew up learning the game at Claremont Park in the Bronx and now he’s back to doing what he does best. Above the Rim has launched a new video series today, called “City by City.” In it we see former Townsville Crocodile and Melbourne Tiger’s import Corey “Homicide” Williams travelling from black top to black top, posing for photo shoots and running skills clinics for kids along the way.

Above The Rim are following Homicide as he makes his first stop in Houston with stops in Chicago, Atlanta and New York next on the list.
His last stop on a basketball map was with the Piratas de Quebradillas, a Puerto Rican basketball team which features some Aussie connections being a former home to NBL players Shawn Redhage, Mark Worthingon and featured C.J. Bruton as a player and coach in 2011.
It’s well known Homicide would love the chance to return to the NBL, even going so far to say “NBL is my NBA” on our recent podcast with man. Earlier in the year Melbourne Tiger’s Chris Anstey mentioned on Twitter that Homicide was indeed someone the Tiger’s would consider in their import selection, yet for whatever reason they have settled on former NZ Breaker Kevin Braswell as their floor general for 2012/13. Instead the NBL will begin without Corey Williams on an Australian roster. The NBL import casualty list is generally a long one so lets hope somehow Corey “Homicide” Williams finds his way back to the NBL this season, somehow, someway.
At the end of the day Corey “Homicide” Williams is a former NBL MVP, a NBDL champion and one of international basketball’s TRUE personalities, no matter what league he plays in.
