STATE LEAGUE EXPERIENCE
- Warrnambool (2008–2009), Gold Coast (2010), Ipswich (2011–2012), Gladstone (2013), Northside (2014), Gold Coast (2015), Rockhampton (2016), Gold Coast (2017)
Gleeson joined Warrnambool for the 2008 Big V season, playing for the Seahawks as a 190 cm guard and remaining with the club through 2009 after entering the Victorian state league pathway from Queensland.
Gleeson joined Gold Coast for the 2010 Queensland Basketball League season and delivered one of his key early QBL games against South West Metro, scoring 24 points and hitting the late basket in an 83–81 win after entering the game under a knee injury cloud.
Gold Coast used him as a lead guard during the 2010 QBL season, and he was named game MVP in a 94–82 win after scoring 23 points in another home result at The Southport School.
Gleeson joined Ipswich for the 2011 Queensland Basketball League season and earned All-League Team selection as a guard, with Ipswich finishing eighth at 9–9 in a 14-team competition.
He remained with Ipswich for the 2012 Queensland Basketball League season and led the competition in scoring at 24.18 points per game, was named Round 9 Player of the Week, earned All-League Team selection, and helped Ipswich finish third at 12–4 before the Force entered the quarter-final pool stage.
Gleeson joined Gladstone Port City for the 2013 Queensland Basketball League season, playing as a guard in a roster that also included Braydon Hobbs, Chris Goulding, Todd Meyerding and Nathan Calder.
Gladstone finished seventh overall in 2013, and Gleeson was selected to the QBL All-League Team alongside teammate Braydon Hobbs after the Power’s regular season included wins over Bundaberg, Brisbane, Townsville, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Mackay, Suncoast, South West Metro and Gold Coast.
Gleeson joined Northside for the 2014 Queensland Basketball League season, returning to the Wizards after his Ipswich stint and joining a roster built around players including Mitch McCarron, Nick Kay, Brent Stewart, Jordan Teo and Kyle Keirnan.
Gleeson returned to Gold Coast for the 2015 Queensland Basketball League season, then departed the Rollers after that campaign as the club reshaped its roster before the 2016 season.
Gleeson joined Rockhampton for the 2016 Queensland Basketball League season, with the Rockets adding him alongside Jordan Gregory, Auryn McMillan, Ray Turner and Chris Kann as part of a roster rebuild under coach Neal Tweedy.
Gleeson returned to Gold Coast for the 2017 Queensland Basketball League season, completing a later Gold Coast stint in a state league career that also included Warrnambool, Ipswich, Gladstone Port City, Northside and Rockhampton.
