BIO: Jeremy Kench was born in Wellington (NZ) and attended former powerhouse Christchurch basketball school, Middleton Grange.

NBL EXPERIENCE

Jeremy Kench made his NBL debut with the Singapore Slingers at 22 years of age. He scored two points in his first game.

Jeremy Brian Kench played 12 seasons in the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL).

He made his NBL debut in the 2003 NBL season averaging 3.4 points a game from 14 appearances.

In the 2004 NBL season, Kench gained more maturity with experience, eventually replacing Ben Jeffrey as the Rams’ starting point guard, starting in 15 out of 18 games.

His average was slightly up from his debut season, averaging 4.2 points a game, and just under 3 assists a game.

Jeremy Kench played two seasons in the NBL, playing for both the Singapore Slingers and the Wollongong Hawks. He averaged 4.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 63 NBL games.

Jeremy Kench stayed with Canterbury Rams for the 2005 New Zealand NBL season and averaged 2.2 points across 18 games.

Jeremy Kench joined Canterbury Rams for the 2006 New Zealand NBL season and averaged 18.7 points across 18 games, including 36 points against Wellington in the final regular-season game and Tall Blacks selection for the 2006 world championship preparation squad on 11 May 2006.

Jeremy Kench joined Wellington Saints for the 2012 New Zealand NBL season and averaged 9.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 14 games while shooting 52.6 percent from three-point range.

Jeremy Kench joined Canterbury Rams for the 2014 New Zealand NBL season and averaged 12.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists across 17 games, recording four double-doubles.

Jeremy Kench re-joined Canterbury Rams for the 2015 New Zealand NBL season and averaged 7.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists across 18 games before retiring in December 2015 after 194 New Zealand NBL games.
