COLLEGE

Biwer attended Central Washington from 1984–88, playing for the Wildcats during the Dean Nicholson era.

In the 1986–87 season, Central Washington records list Biwer as appearing in 40 games, with the same school records also listing that year’s Wildcats as playing 41-game seasons for multiple rotation players, reflecting an extended schedule for that period.

Central Washington’s later single-season record listings include Biwer on the 1988–89 team that tied a school record with 32 wins, won the NAIA District I championship by defeating Western Washington, and advanced to the NAIA Division I National Tournament where Central won three games before falling to Saint Mary’s (Texas) in the national semifinals.

On that 1988–89 team, Central Washington’s Hall of Fame recap credits Biwer with 8.5 rebounds per game to lead the Wildcats, and the program’s single-season record list credits him with 359 total rebounds that season, which remains the school’s single-season rebounding record.

    • Boomers: we’re not taking Patty and Bryce

At some point over the next 12 months, the Boomers are going to have to make a decision that Australian basketball has managed to avoid for almost two decades. Who exactly is this team built around now? Since 2010, that answer was simple. It was Patty Mills’ team. Mills has been the primary scorer for the Boomers for nearly two decades and few Australian victories have been recorded without a major scoring performance from Patty. But as the Boomers move toward the 2027 FIBA World…
