  • West Adelaide (2025), Perry Lakes (2026)

Huefner joined West Adelaide for the 2025 NBL1 Central season, where he teamed with fellow NBL talent Lat Mayen for the Bearcats and helped the club reach the NBL1 Central Grand Final. He starred across the season with 20.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 42 per cent from three-point range.

Cameron Huefner finished West Adelaide’s 2025 title run by leading the Bearcats to an 83–73 Grand Final win over Central Districts, recording 22 points, five rebounds and two steals, and he was named Grand Final MVP.

Cameron Huefner signed with the Perry Lakes Hawks for the 2026 NBL1 West season, with the club announcing the signing on 18 November 2025 as its first major roster move for 2026, and he was listed on the Hawks’ 2026 player roster ahead of the season.

COLLEGE

Cameron Huefner played three seasons at Sam Houston State after transferring from Pittsburg State, arriving as a graduate of St Peter’s College.

In his first season with the Bearkats in 2022–23, Huefner played 31 games and averaged 9.8 points per game, earning All-WAC Newcomer Team honours while producing multiple highlight performances including 22 points on 4-of-4 three-point shooting against South Dakota on November 23, 20 points against Stephen F. Austin on January 19, and a buzzer-beating game-winning fadeaway jumper against UTRGV on February 1.

Huefner also hit a mid-season scoring surge in 2022–23 with double-digit points in six straight games from February 1 to February 23, including a 20-point game with five threes against Tarleton on February 18, and he closed the year with additional double-figure outputs such as 15 points against Abilene Christian on March 3.

In 2023–24, Huefner was a preseason all-conference selection but was limited to 26 games due to injury, making seven starts while averaging 7.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, and he posted a season-high 18 points in a road win at Western Kentucky on February 1.

As a senior in 2024–25, Huefner started all 30 games and delivered career-best production at 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, shooting 36.4 percent from three and finishing second on the team with 56 made three-pointers, with his Sam Houston State career noted at 928 points across three seasons.

Across his junior and senior seasons, Huefner was a two-time Conference USA All-Conference Honorable Mention selection, reflecting his impact as a scoring forward and perimeter threat within Sam Houston’s move into CUSA competition.
