BIO: Tom Kubank was born in Adelaide. As a teenager he left for the United States where he was the Westminster Open A team captain, a three-time intercollegiate MVP and the three-time season MVP, and earned school colors for basketball excellence.
FAMILY: Tom Kubank is the son of Graham Kubank who played 173 games in the NBL.
NBL EXPERIENCE
Tom Kubank made his NBL debut with the Adelaide 36ers at 29 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.

STATE LEAGUE EXPERIENCE
- Mount Gambier 2021-2023 | South Adelaide 2024-25
During the 2021 NBL1 season, Kubank averaged 11 points per game with 44.7% average from the field and a strong 6.92 rebounds per game playing for Mount Gambier.
He averaged 11 points in 13 games for Mount Gambier in 2024.
During the 2025 NBL offseason, Tom Kubank played for South Adelaide in NBL1 Central, where he opened the season with a strong performance of 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in an 86–61 win over the Southern Tigers.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Netherlands - LWD Basket (2022-2023)
Kubank spent the 2022/23 season in the BNXT League with Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, averaging 7.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
COLLEGE
Kubank began his college basketball career at Lake Region State College (LRSC) from 2014 to 2016 before transferring to the University of Mary, following head coach Joe Kittell, who had coached him during his freshman season at LRSC.
As a freshman in the 2014–15 season, Kubank started 24 games and helped lead LRSC to a 23-8 record. He averaged 9.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and shot an efficient 51.2% from the field while making 66% of his free throws.
In his sophomore season (2015–16), Kubank took on a larger role, averaging 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 46.8% from the field and improved his free throw percentage to 78.7%, helping the Royals finish the season with a 19-12 record.
Kubank redshirted during the 2016–17 season. The following year, he appeared in all 27 games for the University of Mary, making 21 starts. He averaged 18.5 minutes per game, contributing 195 points, 72 rebounds, 22 assists, and 18 steals over the season. He recorded a career-high 16 points in multiple games.
