A big thank you for playing our 3rd annual NBA Play off competition.
It is now complete with the Miami Heat winning the NBA Championship against the Oklahoma City Thunder 4-1.
Congratulations must go to Kristopher Pendlebury, member of the Collingwood Magpies VFL squad, who scored 38 out of a possible 63 correct points. He is having as good a year tipping on the NBA as he is in the VFL this year. is truly the NBA Guru this year.
It was a tight competition though with Kris Morrison and Adam Bond only 2 points each behind the winner.
Last years winner Collingwood Magpie Scott Pendlebury and recent Sydney King’s signing Tom Garlepp both finished 4th this year with 35 points, the highest results for anyone who had picked a team other than the Miami Heat to win (Both selected the Oklahoma City Thunder).
In a somewhat shocking move however it may have been the fact that self confessed Hoop Addict Rhys Carter, former Adelaide 36er who is now playing in Sweden, only a 24 point effort. The second lowest score ever. Who holds the dubious title of the lowest score ever? Why it’s Rhys Carter who finished dead last in last years competition with only 20 points. Better luck next year Rhys!
Any ways hoops fans, that’s it for another NBA Play-Off Bracket Competition. Thanks to everyone who played, be sure to enter again next season.
Scoring is as follows;
Winning Team = 1 point, Correct Number of Games Bonus = 2 points,
Correct NBA Award Winner = 3 points
