Name: McClary, Ken | college: Florida (1984-1988)| Additional Info: Ken McClary played his NCAA basketball career at University of Florida from 1984–85 through 1987–88, appearing for the Florida men’s program under head coach Norm Sloan across four seasons.

As a freshman in 1984–85, McClary played 22 games and averaged 8.4 minutes, 1.7 points, and 2.5 rebounds per game as Florida finished 18–12 overall (9–9 in SEC play).

As a sophomore in 1985–86, he moved into a larger rotation role and averaged 5.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, before producing a notable postseason line of 13 points and 10 rebounds in Florida’s NIT loss to Wyoming.

McClary’s junior season (1986–87) coincided with a landmark year for Florida, as the Gators became the school’s first team to reach the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet 16 during a 23-win campaign. McClary appeared in 34 games that season and averaged 4.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, and he logged a 7-point, 6-rebound game in Florida’s NCAA Tournament loss to Syracuse in the regional semifinal.

In 1987–88, Florida returned to the NCAA Tournament and reached 23 wins again, while also climbing as high as No. 7 in the AP poll on November 30, 1987. McClary saw limited floor time as a senior, appearing in 13 games and averaging 2.8 minutes, 0.2 points, and 0.4 rebounds per game as the Gators’ season ended in the NCAA Tournament against Michigan.
