Tony is known for his defence, rebounding and ability to play multi-dimensional on the offensive end.

NBL EXPERIENCE

Tony Tolovae made his NBL debut with the Illawarra Hawks at 22 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.

In December 2016 Tolovae suffered a injury during a practice match between the up and coming Sydney Kings players and the NSW Under 20s squad. The injury would see him miss the remainder of the 2016/17 season. He would be replaced by William McDowell-White whom the Kings signed as a development player.

Tony Tolovae played two seasons in the NBL, playing for both the Illawarra Hawks and the Sydney Kings..

Tolovae averaged 3 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.4 assists while playing for the Canterbury Rams in 2015.

Tolovae again changed teams within the NZNBL and played 18 games for the Taranaki Airs in 2016, averaging 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

In 2017 Tony Tolovae played for the Hawkes Bay Hawks and averaged 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2 assists across 18 games.

Tolovae started every game for the Rams for the Canterbury Rams in 2018 and averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists across 18 games.

Played in Norway for Gimie BBK during the 2018/19 season and averaged 16 points and 5 rebounds per game. Tony helped take Gimie BBK from the bottom of the Norway.

In 2019, Tolovae returned to play for the Canterbury Rams where he was the first signing for first year Canterbury Rams head coach Mick Downer. He averaged 6.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across 18 games.
