Firstly we get to briefly talk to Illawarra’s AJ Ogilvy who provides some insight into what the Illawarra Hawks are focusing on in the lead up to the NBL playoffs and his thoughts on making the Australian Boomers squad for the upcoming FIBA world cup qualifiers.
AJ Ogilvy has proven that he is one of the premier big men in the world, whether playing for Sydney or Illawarra in the NBL or during his time playing abroad for Vanderbilt University (NCAA), Beşiktaş (Turkey), Valencia (Spain) Brose Baskets (Germany).
Dan goes on to talk about AJ’s time playing overseas and his experiences in the NBA training camps and Europe.
Our second guest on the show is Australian Boomers legend Paul Rogers who had an impressive college career playing for Gonzaga before carving out an impressive career playing both in the NBL and overseas.
Dan believes that due to playing much of his career overseas that Paul doesn’t get as much respect as he deserves and goes through Paul’s basketball career, reliving some fantastic memories.
