BIO: Mike Parsons was born in Legana (TAS) and began playing basketball as a junior with the Launceston basketball program.
NBL EXPERIENCE
Mike Parsons made his NBL debut with the Launceston Casino City Tigers at 19 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.
Upon returning to Australia after playing college ball, he played for the Launceston Casino City in the National Basketball League. Most notably, he played at Launceston in the 1981 NBL Season, where they were league Champions.
Mike Parsons played five seasons in the NBL, playing for both the Launceston Casino City Tigers and the West Adelaide Bearcats. He averaged 8.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 85 NBL games.
Dan Boyce is a die-hard Sydney Kings fan who grew up in Melbourne during the roaring 90's of Australian Basketball and spent far too much time collecting Futera NBL Basketball cards.

FIBA EXPERIENCE
Was a part of the training squad for the Australian team and was one of the last cut players for the 1980 Olympic Games.
COLLEGE
Played college basketball for the University of Utah.
LIFE AFTER BASKETBALL
After wrapping up his NBL career in 1984, he went on to play for the North Adelaide Football Club for many years. There, he played in three grand finals from 1985 to 1987 with his six goal effort in the team's 1987 premiership rewarded with the Jack Oatey medal for the best player on the ground.He was recruited by the Sydney Swans and played in the AFL in 1988, 1989 and part of 1990 before returning to North Adelaide part way through the 1990 season. He was a part of North's 1991 premiership team before retiring at the end of the 1992 season. He played 158 games for North Adelaide and kicked 196 goals in his illustrious career.
Michael passed away in hospital on 24th April, 2009 from issues related to a brain tumour.
