STATE LEAGUE EXPERIENCE
- Sandringham (2011), Townsville (2016–2019), Rockhampton (2021)
Wilcher joined Sandringham for the 2011 SEABL season, giving the Sabres his first supplied state league stop after coming through the Sandringham junior pathway.
Wilcher joined Townsville for the 2016 QBL season, and his arrival helped spark a revival of the Heat into a league power. Townsville opened the season with 10 straight wins, finished as minor premiers with a 14–3 record and earned a direct path into the semi-finals before Cairns went on to win the championship.
Wilcher returned to Townsville for the 2017 QBL season and was one of the competition’s standout guards, averaging more than 21 points, 4.8 rebounds and six assists. He won QBL Player of the Week in Round 2, helped the Heat finish third at 12–5, and then led Townsville to an upset Grand Final series win over Mackay, with the Heat taking the title 2–1 by scores of 90–74, 73–91 and 103–91. Wilcher was named Grand Final MVP as Townsville broke a 17-year championship drought.
Townsville retained Wilcher for the 2018 QBL season, and the Heat entered the playoffs as the defending champions before beating Gold Coast in the quarter-finals and Brisbane 90–85 in the semi-final. The Grand Final series against Cairns was the first QBL title match-up between the north Queensland rivals since 2004, and Townsville completed back-to-back championships by sweeping the Marlins 2–0 with 95–91 and 84–80 wins.
Wilcher remained with Townsville for the 2019 QBL season and produced his best individual year with the Heat, averaging 22 points, five assists and five rebounds. He also led the league in free-throw percentage at 93.27 percent after making 97 of 104 attempts, won QBL Player of the Week in Round 12, and helped Townsville finish third at 14–4 before the Heat lost their semi-final series against Gold Coast.
Wilcher joined Rockhampton for the 2021 NBL1 North season, adding another state league stop after the QBL became part of NBL1 North. He averaged 17.50 points, 6.00 assists and 2.83 rebounds for the Rockets, scored 30 points on 10-of-10 free-throw shooting against Gold Coast, recorded 29 points against Northside, and had 22 points and 15 assists in Rockhampton’s 89–86 win over Cairns, where he scored nine points in the closing run and sealed the result with two free throws.

Wilcher joined Reading Rockets for the 2013–14 EBL Division 1 season in England, averaging nearly 23 points per game and helping Reading win the EBL Division 1, National Cup and National Trophy titles while being named England Basketball Division 1 Men Player of the Year and Hoopsfix Division 1 Player of the Year.
