BIO: Josh Tomasi was born in Melbourne (VIC)
Josh Tomasi made his NBL debut with the Tasmania JackJumpers at 22 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.
Tomasi was offered a contract after impressing the JackJumpers during their 2022 Development Player invitational trials, showing great potential as a force in the paint in the early stages of NBL23, however a concussion injury kept the 23-year-old off the court for much of the back half of the season.
2023/24
Tomasi returned to Tasmania after signing a one-year developmental player deal (30 May). Before the season started, Tomasi was granted a release from his 2023/24 Development Player contract, allowing him to play in Europe.

Tomasi joined Nunawading for the 2023 NBL1 South season after signing with the Spectres on November 24, 2022, having already spent time training with the club’s NBL1 group the year before. He averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds per game with Nunawading in 2023, was part of a roster that also included Jack Gandolfo, Kingsley Box, Jalen Gibbs and Daniel Baxter, and one of his noted performances came against Diamond Valley when he produced 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Tomasi’s 2023 season with Nunawading also included 22 points and 7 rebounds against Kilsyth during Anzac Round, 17 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists in a 105–90 win over Keilor, and 22 points and 8 rebounds on 9-of-13 shooting against Ringwood in the regular-season finale. Nunawading finished the regular season at 13–9 after that final-round win over Ringwood.
Tomasi joined Casey for the 2024 NBL1 South season and was part of the Cavaliers roster in 2024. He earned the club’s weekly player recognition in April, while his season included 12 points and 7 rebounds against Bendigo, 12 points and 7 rebounds against Eltham, and 12 points, 5 blocks, 4 rebounds and 3 assists against Frankston.
Casey’s 2024 season also included an 87–69 road win over Keilor where Tomasi contributed 10 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks. He added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks against North West Tasmania during Anzac Round, while Casey continued to use him as an interior piece alongside Dillon Stith, Preston Bungei, Adam Thoseby and Devin Watson.
Tomasi joined Ringwood for the 2025 NBL1 South season after returning from overseas. His 2025 run with the Hawks included a 15-point, 11-rebound, 3-assist double-double against Kilsyth in April, 12 points and 13 rebounds against Nunawading in May, and one of his best state league performances to date when he had 27 points and 16 rebounds on 75 percent shooting in a win over North West Tasmania in May.
Ringwood’s 107–87 win over North West Tasmania on 24 May 2025 was built around Tomasi’s 27 points, 16 rebounds and 2 blocks on 12-of-16 shooting. Across the 2025 NBL1 South season with Ringwood, he averaged 12.71 points, 8.36 rebounds, 1.50 assists and 0.93 blocks per game, leading the Hawks in rebounding and blocks.
Tomasi joined Sturt for the 2026 NBL1 Central season. Through the opening four games of the season he was leading the Sabres in rebounding at 9.75 per game while also averaging 14.75 points, 2.5 assists and 0.5 blocks per game.
Tomasi opened the 2026 NBL1 Central season with 21 points and 12 rebounds as Sturt defeated South Adelaide 96–93 on March 21. He added 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 block in a 111–91 win over Central Districts on March 28, then had 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals as Sturt defeated North Adelaide 114–92 to improve to 5–0.
Tomasi’s Anzac Round for Sturt included 19 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocks in an 86–84 win over Southern Tigers, earning the Anzac Round Medal for that game. He later added 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in Sturt’s overtime win over Norwood, and after eight games Sturt was 8–0 with Tomasi averaging 16.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.38 assists and 0.75 blocks per game.
Tomasi joined Depiro BC for the 2023 Maltese Division One season on 31 July 2023, averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists across two John Tabone Shield games before leaving for Spain.
Josh Tomasi joined CB Prat for the 2023–2024 Spanish Segunda FEB season, averaging 10.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists across 7 games while shooting 53.6 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three-point range.
Tomasi scored 18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals for CB Prat in a 78–70 loss to CB Sant Antoni on 11 November 2023.
Josh Tomasi joined Chun Lung WTS for the 2024–2025 Hong Kong A1 League season, making his debut in an 88–86 overtime loss to Eagles BC.
Tomasi recorded 29 points and 14 rebounds for Chun Lung WTS in an 83–77 win over Pegasus Kin Lung on 15 December 2024.
Josh Tomasi joined Winling for the 2025–2026 Hong Kong A1 League season, recording 21 points and 15 rebounds in a 79–77 Senior Shield win over Hong Kong Eastern on 17 September 2025.
Tomasi averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game during his Hong Kong A1 League stint with Winling.
