BIO: Jayden Hodgson was born in Gosford (NSW) Hodgson received a scholarship to attend the Australian Institute of Sport (Canberra) in 2015. He spent one year there and played for the program’s state league team.
Jayden Hodgson made his NBL debut with the Sydney Kings at 18 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.
Sydney looked to surround star import Josh Childress and blossoming young stars like Jason Cadee, Tom Garlepp and reigning Rookie of the Year Angus Brandt. Veterans Julian Khazzouh, Steven Markovic and Rhys Carter were brought in, and NBA draftee Marcus Thornton was signed as the team’s second import.
Childress and Khazzouh suffered injuries which saw both players miss a third of the season and leave the Kings severely undermanned.
Hodgson appeared in only six games this season, failing to score a point, while the struggling Kings finished dead last (6-22).

2020/21
After several years playing state league, Hodgson would return to the Kings as a development player for the 2020/21 season.
Hodgson would see limited minutes again during the 2021/22 season failure to score during his 11 appearances on the court. The Kings meanwhile finished the year in spectacular fashion, winning 13 consecutive games to end the regular season.
The Kings would defeat the Illawarra Hawks in the semifinals and then the Tasmania JackJumpers to end their 17-year championship drought in front of 16,000 fans at Qudos Bank Arena.
