STATE LEAGUE EXPERIENCE

Brent Hobba played in the SBL for the Goldfields Giants from 1998 to 2000, appearing in 33 games and averaging 8.5 points per game. After a lone season playing for the Willetton Tigers in 2001, averaging 10.3 point across 16 games, he returned to the Giants in 2002 and continued to play for them until 2005.
In 2006, he moved east and joined the Dandenong Rangers of the Big V. He played with the Rangers in the Big V and SEABL from 2006 to 2014 before joining the Casey Cavaliers for the 2015 Big V Division 1 season. He continued on with Casey between 2016 and 2019.
COLLEGE
Hobba played college basketball at Colorado Christian beginning in the 2001–02 season, where he competed from 2001 to 2005 as a member of the Cougars program in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
In the 2001–02 season, Colorado Christian competed in RMAC play and Hobba appeared as a freshman guard in a reserve role, contributing across limited minutes while beginning his four-year collegiate career.
During the 2002–03 season, he saw an increased role in the backcourt rotation, appearing in the majority of the team’s games and contributing in scoring and perimeter play while adding assists and steals in conference competition.
By the 2003–04 season, Hobba had moved into a regular rotation role, logging consistent minutes and contributing in double-figure scoring performances during multiple conference matchups, while adding rebounds from the guard position and facilitating offense in half-court sets.
In his senior season in 2004–05, Hobba completed his four-year collegiate tenure at Colorado Christian, finishing his career having appeared in over 90 collegiate games across four seasons, contributing in points, rebounds, assists, and steals while competing exclusively at Colorado Christian without transferring to another NCAA institution.
Across his Colorado Christian career from 2001 to 2005, he established himself as a consistent backcourt contributor in RMAC competition, recording multi-game stretches of double-digit scoring and closing his collegiate career with cumulative contributions in scoring, rebounding, playmaking, and perimeter defense over four seasons.
