Breaking News: Andrew Bogut signs with Sydney Kings

In what could be the NBL’s biggest coup for next season, the Sydney Kings have secured the services of Australian superstar Andrew Bogut. The club will confirm the announcement at 10am AEST tomorrow morning.

This is a major acquisition for Sydney and will have a ripple effect throughout the rest of the Australian basketball landscape. Bogut will swap his LA Lakers threads for Sydney’s purple and gold in what could be his final swansong on Australian soil.

Bogut was the NBA’s No. 1 overall pick in 2005. He played for numerous NBA teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers and averaged 9.7 points and 8.7 rebounds throughout a stellar thirteen-year NBA career. Bogut reached the pinnacle of basketball after he helped lead the Golden State Warriors to an NBA title in 2015.
