BIO: Bobi Klintman was born in Malmö, Sweden, to a Swedish mother and a father from Senegal.

He attended Sweden’s RIG Mark Academy in Kinna where in 2019–20, he played 13 games for the team in the third-tier Basketettan. He continued with RIG Mark in the second-tier Superettan in 2020–21 before the season was cancelled in February 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He played six games for Borås Basket in the first-tier Basketligan to finish the season.

Klintman enrolled at Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas, for the 2021–22 US high school year.

NBL EXPERIENCE

Bobi Klintman made his NBL debut with the Cairns Taipans at 20 years of age. He scored eight points in his first game.

Rather than enter the 2023 NBA Draft (projected to be selected in the early second round 35-40) Klintman signed to play with Cairns under a Next Stars player contract. At the time, the rangy wing has been described as the modern NBA “prototype” by new head coach Adam Forde, due to his length, size and ability to score – all assets that should transition well into the NBL.

Bobi Klintman played one season in the NBL. He averaged 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 23 NBL games.
