Basketball Geelong and the Geelong Supercats are pleased to announced that Saturday 22nd September has been chosen as the date for the inaugural 2012 Celebration of Basketball in Geelong.
The past twelve months has seen a number of changes across both Basketball Geelong and the Geelong Supercats – with of course the most significant being the merging of the two organizations to become one entity under the newly formed Basketball Geelong Commission. It is a very exciting time for the association as it continues to grow and come together as a club. The night will also celebrate the achievements of all the Geelong Basketball teams across 2012.
This year will be the first time that the club has the opportunity to hold an end of season function that celebrates the success and achievements of the association as a whole – instead of as separate teams in separate leagues.
The night will consist of presentations for all of the senior elite teams, including SEABL, Big V and Under 20 VJBL, as well as awards for the Basketball Geelong club competition and acknowledgement of significant achievements throughout the year.
The function will be held in the prestigious Fred Flanagan room at Simonds Stadium, ticket price includes a delicious three course meal with beer, wine and soft drink.
