BIO: Adrien Sturt was born in Adelaide (SA) before moving to Melbourne (VIC) and attending Box Hill Senior Secondary College. After attending Snow College in the US, Sturt returned to Australia in 2007 and joined the Melbourne Tigers, playing two seasons and winning a NBL championship in his rookie season. He also played for the Tigers’ affiliate team in the Big V, where he won championships in 2008 and 2009.

He previously played for the Great Britain Under-23 team.

Sturt joined Dexia Mons-Hainaut in April 2010 for the 2009–10 Belgian League season, playing his first season in Belgium after being added late in the campaign.

Sturt moved to England for the 2010–11 British Basketball League season with the Essex Pirates, where he played 31 games and averaged 10.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Sturt stayed in the British Basketball League with the Milton Keynes Lions for the 2011–12 season, appearing in 27 games and averaging 9.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game before continuing with the franchise through its move to London and playing alongside Rod Brown during his Lions tenure in England.

Sturt joined the London Lions for the 2012–13 British Basketball League season and, across 32 games, averaged 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game, a year that included multiple British BBL Team of the Week selections and culminated with him being named a BBL All-Star in 2013.

Sturt re-signed with the London Lions on July 29, 2013 for the 2013–14 British Basketball League season and averaged 10.8 points and 5.9 rebounds across 34 games while playing alongside teammates including Michael Martin and Laurent Irish, and that season also finished with Sturt being named a BBL All-Star for a second straight year in 2014.

Sturt re-signed with the London Lions on September 11, 2014 for the 2014–15 British Basketball League season, appeared in the first six games, and was released on November 18, 2014 before signing with the Cheshire Phoenix eight days later on November 26, where he played 28 games and averaged 6.6 points and 5.1 rebounds while sharing the rotation with teammates such as Paul Sturgess, Demond Watt, David Aliu, and Simeon Naydenov.

Sturt signed with the Plymouth Raiders on November 9, 2015 for the remainder of the 2015–16 British Basketball League season, joining a roster that included Michael Vigor, Josh Wilcher, and Dante Williams during that Raiders stint in England.

COLLEGE

Sturt played college basketball at Snow College during the 2006–07 season, where he competed for the Badgers in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC).

In the 2006–07 season, Snow College finished as the SWAC Conference Champion, and Sturt helped the team secure the conference title during his lone year in the program.

Across the 2006–07 campaign, Sturt appeared in 30 games and averaged 10.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, shooting 57.4% from the field while contributing 1.2 assists and 0.8 blocks per contest.

He recorded multiple double-figure scoring performances during the season, including a 22-point outing in conference play and a 19-point performance in a regional matchup, while also posting several games with 8 or more rebounds.

During SWAC competition, Sturt averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, ranking among the team’s leading interior scorers while providing frontcourt efficiency and second-chance opportunities.

Sturt attended Utah's Snow College in 2006/07 where he helped the team win the SWAC Conference Championship.
