BIO: Born in Baldivis, Western Australia, Adam Caporn spent six seasons in the National Basketball League, three with the Wollongong Hawks and three for the Perth Wildcats. Caporn received a scholarship to attend the Australian Institute of Sport (Canberra) in 2000. He spent one year there and played for the program’s state league team.

NBL EXPERIENCE

Adam Caporn made his NBL debut with the Wollongong Hawks at 21 years of age. He scored four points in his first game.

In 2000 and 2001, Caporn played basketball for at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) before heading to the United States to play college basketball for Saint Mary’s College of California.

After spending two seasons in the US, Caporn returned to Australia to play for the Wollongong Hawks in the Australian NBL.

Adam Caporn played six seasons in the NBL, playing for both the Wollongong Hawks and the Perth Wildcats. He averaged 5.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 160 NBL games.

COACHING HISTORY

Adam Caporn served as the head coach at Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence program from 2014 to 2021.

He also coached the U19 Australia national team (the Emus) during that time.

He is a former assistant coach at Saint Mary's College of California, where he also played college basketball.
