After going undrafted, Tyler Cook signed with the Charlotte Hornets but was waived at the end of training camp. He was subsequently added to the roster of their NBA G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. Known for his offensive efficiency and versatile play on both ends of the court, the Maryland native began his professional career in the G League. During the G League hub season between February and March 2021, Cook appeared in eight games, averaging 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game, gaining valuable experience in his transition from college to the professional ranks.

SZEDEÁK (HUNGARY)
2021–2022

In 2021, Tyler Cook made his first move overseas, signing with Szedeák in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A league in Hungary. Cook had a strong season, showcasing his skills on both ends of the floor and gaining valuable experience in European competition.

ADA BLOIS BASKET 41 (FRANCE) / MZT SKOPJE (NORTH MACEDONIA)
2022–2023

For the 2022/23 season, Cook signed with ADA Blois Basket 41, a team competing in France’s top-tier LNB Pro A. However, his stint with Blois was short-lived, and he was released mid-season. He then joined MZT Skopje in North Macedonia, where he finished the season, continuing to contribute effectively as a key rotation player.

CRAILSHEIM MERLINS (GERMANY)
2023–2024

In 2023, Cook signed with Crailsheim Merlins of the German Basketball Bundesliga. During the 2023/24 season, the 27-year-old forward had an impressive campaign, leading his team in scoring with averages of 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting an efficient 46% from beyond the arc. Cook’s consistent performances established him as one of the top contributors in the league.

COLLEGE

As a freshman at Odessa College, Cook averaged 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game off the bench. He averaged 15 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He then transferred to Missouri State for his remaining college years, choosing to go to Missouri State over offers from Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State.

As a junior, he averaged 12.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Cook was named to the Third Team All-Missouri Valley Conference as well as the All-Newcomer Team.

As a senior, Cook averaged 14.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game as a senior, earning Second Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors. This included a career-high scoring night, when he dropped 31 points shooting 6-of-7 from three-point range in a 59–50 win over Alabama State (10 Nov 2019).
