It was a disappointing year for the Melbourne Tigers (some might say a few years) but new CEO Michael Slepoy has put pen to paper (or finger to keyboard nowadays) and written a detailed letter to Tigers fans detailing how the team will be moving forward. I must say the move to Hisense Arena both impressed and excited me, it’s taken to long for that decision to be made, especially when they remained there during the cross-town rivalry they had with the South Dragons.

It has been exciting two months since taking the reins as CEO of Melbourne Tigers.
Firstly, I would like to thank our members and sponsors for the overwhelming positive support I have received since taking up the role.

Looking forward you will see a new and refreshed look for the Melbourne Tigers, propelling the Club into the 21st Century. We aim to be the most professional basketball club in the country as we strive for continued success. As part of this we will be launching a revamped website and leveraging our extensive marketing resources available through Dodo.

In the coming weeks we will also be launching an exciting competition, with a trip to Las Vegas up for grabs.

We will be looking to take multiple games to Hisense Arena next season, with the view of turning our games into world class events, more than just a basketball game!

Currently the league is working through the fixture process, which has been held up with the possible inclusion of a second Melbourne license.

Once the fixture has been confirmed I look forward to communicating our new and exciting membership and corporate packages.

Thank you for being patient as we implement all of these exciting developments. I look forward to keeping you updated as we embark on our quest for our fifth NBL Championship.
