INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • New Zealand - Wellington Saints (2016, 2018, 2026), Otago Nuggets (2020), Hawke’s Bay Hawks (2022–2023)

In 2016, Jordan Hunt played in New Zealand for the Wellington Saints and averaged 2.6 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.2 assists across eight games, with his limited role reflected in 4.6 minutes per game and efficient shooting splits in that sample, and he was part of the Saints squad that won the 2016 New Zealand NBL title with a 94–82 grand final win over the Super City Rangers.

Hunt had a brief return to the Wellington Saints in 2018, appearing in one game during the New Zealand NBL season.

In 2020, Hunt returned to play in New Zealand with the Otago Nuggets and averaged 19.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 0.9 assists across 16 games while playing 27.4 minutes per game, and his season ended with the Nuggets winning the 2020 NBL Showdown championship as he earned Grand Final MVP after scoring 21 points in the 79–77 decider against the Manawatu Jets.

In 2022, Hunt played in New Zealand for the Hawke’s Bay Hawks and averaged 15.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists across 15 games, adding a 48.6 field-goal percentage and 34.9 three-point percentage in that campaign.

Hunt remained with Hawke’s Bay in 2023 after being re-signed ahead of the season, and he played 19 games while averaging 10.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

In 2026, Hunt returned to play with the Wellington Saints after signing with the club in early February ahead of the New Zealand NBL season.

COLLEGE

Jordan Hunt played four college seasons at Southern Oregon from 2016–17 to 2019–20, competing for the Raiders in the NAIA (not the NCAA), and he finished his career with 1,147 points (11th on SOU’s all-time list) and 741 rebounds (8th in program history).

As a freshman in 2016–17, Hunt ranked among Cascade Conference freshmen at third in scoring (10.4 points per game) and first in both rebounds (5.8) and blocked shots (1.5), while shooting 50 percent from the field (110-of-220) and 78 percent at the line (56-of-74) with 14 made threes.

That first season included multiple impact games, highlighted by a season-high 21 points at Oregon Tech on January 31, 2017, plus a huge all-around line of 19 points, a season-high 14 rebounds, and a season-high five blocks at Walla Walla on February 3.

Hunt also announced himself early in the 2016–17 schedule when he poured in 20 points with nine rebounds, three blocks, and three steals in an upset win over No. 12-ranked Westmont on November 25, 2016.

As a sophomore in 2017–18, Hunt earned All-Cascade Conference honorable mention and Academic All-CCC, and he ranked on the CCC leaderboards in points (13.0, 18th), rebounds (6.6, 10th), blocked shots (1.4, 2nd), field-goal percentage (56.2, 6th), and free-throw percentage (79.1, 9th).

He recorded five double-doubles that season, scored in double figures 23 times, produced a season-high 20 points and 11 rebounds against Maine-Fort Kent on November 1, and swatted a season-high six blocks at Simpson on November 7, finishing the year by hitting double figures in 10 of the final 11 games while averaging 15.5 points over that closing stretch.

As a junior in 2018–19, Hunt again earned Academic All-CCC and All-CCC honorable mention, ranked among CCC players in points (13.5, 16th), rebounds (7.0, 9th), blocks (1.6, 5th) and field-goal percentage (53.7, 8th), and became the 23rd player in Southern Oregon history to join the 1,000-point club, finishing that season with 1,113 career points at the time (18th on the school list).

He started all 30 games as a junior, posted five double-doubles and five 20-point games, scored a season-high 22 at Multnomah on December 30, 2018, grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds twice, and recorded three or more blocks in nine different games.

As a senior in 2019–20, Hunt averaged 12.9 points and 5.6 rebounds, finishing second on the Raiders in scoring and third in rebounding for the season, while completing his four-year output as one of the most statistically productive bigs of the Raiders’ era.
