Ben Hunt made his debut for the Bendigo Braves in the SEABL in 1994 played every year for the Braves until 2001 when he left to play college in the USA.

He earned All-SEABL South Conference Team honours in 2000 and 2001, and was named the SEABL South Conference Youth Player of the Year in 2000.

COLLEGE

Hunt played college basketball at Stephen F. Austin from 2001 to 2003 before transferring to Texas Wesleyan, where he competed from 2004 to 2006.

During his time at Stephen F. Austin, he was part of the Lumberjacks program competing in the Southland Conference, appearing on official team rosters across the 2001–02 and 2002–03 seasons.

Following his tenure at Stephen F. Austin, Hunt transferred to Texas Wesleyan and continued his collegiate career from 2004 through 2006, competing in the NAIA ranks and appearing on official roster listings during both the 2004–05 and 2005–06 seasons.

Across his collegiate pathway, Hunt’s career included participation at both the NCAA Division I level with Stephen F. Austin and the NAIA level with Texas Wesleyan, completing his U.S. college eligibility across those four active seasons.
