BIO: Walter Brown was born in Christchurch (NZ).
Walter Brown made his NBL debut with the Tasmania JackJumpers at 22 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.
Brown signed with Tasmania as a development player and went on to make eight appearances on the court in the 2022/23 season for the JackJumpers, scoring a total of three points, as the JackJumpers finished in fourth place (16-12).
2023/24
After a year as a development player the team showed their faith in Brown’s potential by signing him to a new three-year deal to remain with Tasmania until at least the 2025/26 NBL season.

Walter Brown currently plays for the Tasmania JackJumpers and has played 20 games in his NBL career. He has averaged 0.5 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0 assists since entering the league in 2022.

At 18 years of age, Brown played his first season in the NZNBL for his hometown Canterbury Rams during the 2021 season.
In 2022, Walter Brown played in New Zealand for the Canterbury Rams and averaged 7.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists across 14 games, while shooting the three ball at 40.5 per cent to earn himself a chance at the JackJumpers as a development player.
Playing with Canterbury again in 2023, Brown averaged a career-best 9.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 18 games.
