NBL EXPERIENCE

Tom Gerhardt made his NBL debut with the Brisbane Bullets on 3/2/1980. He scored 18 points in his first game.

The Bullets moved from the 2,700-seat Chandler Arena into the larger, 13,500-capacity Brisbane Entertainment Centre in 1986 and Gerhardt would play a role in Brisbane finishing the season in third spot, behind the Adelaide 36ers whom they beat in the NBL Finals the season prior. This would also prompt the NBL to extend the deciding series from a one-game playoff to a three-game series from here onwards.

Adelaide would reverse last seasons result, winning in three games, to claim the championship. Gerhardt played in all three games, scoring a total of four points.

Tom Gerhardt played five seasons in the NBL, playing for both the Brisbane Bullets and the Hobart Devils. He averaged 7.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 113 NBL games.
