Melbourne United center Majok Majok is looking forward to showcasing his skill set and athleticism to NBA scouts and coaches.
The 24-year-old will be attending the Dallas Mavericks mini-camp with the hopes of impressing coaches and earning a spot in the team’s summer league squad where he will be able to play in front of coaches and scouts from all 30 NBA teams in July.
”Yeah, I just got an invite from the Dallas Mavericks for their mini-camp,” Majok said.
”I’m obviously really looking forward to that. It’s a great opportunity for me, any time you have an NBA team wanting to have a closer look at you, it’s always great. So, I’m looking forward to showing them what I can do, and also to learn a lot from them.”
Majok, who spent two years in the US playing at Ball State University from 2012. Over the NBL off-season, he’s been working hard on his fitness and offensive skills which he’s keen to show those who haven’t seen him play since last season.
”One of the biggest things is to just be in great shape, so obviously, I’ve been doing that a lot,” Majok revealed. ”And just working on some more of my game. Shooting, post moves, and stuff like that, so just been getting ready.”
Majok played in all 38 NBL games for United last season and averaged 5.7 points on a great 58.4 field goal percentage while grabbing 5.8 rebounds per game in 18.2 minutes per contest.
Aussie Hoops fan will be following his progress and hopefully, he can impress during his return to the United States and maybe even earn himself an NBA contract.
