BIO: Sejr Deans was born in Launceston (TAS) where he attended Launceston College. He began playing basketball as a junior with the Launceston basketball program.
NBL EXPERIENCE
Sejr Deans made his NBL debut with the Tasmania JackJumpers at 19 years of age. He went scoreless in his first NBL game.
Deans signed to play with the Tasmania JackJumpers as a development player in their debut season. Deans saw minimal court time but was a part of the JackJumpers ‘cinderella’ season which saw them finish with a record of 17–11 and go all the way to reaching the NBL Grand Finals series before losing to eventual champions the Sydney Kings in three games.

COLLEGE
Deans played NCAA Division I college basketball at Jacksonville University during the 2022–23 season, joining the Dolphins as a true freshman in head coach Jordan Mincy’s second year leading the program.
Jacksonville finished 13–16 overall and 6–12 in ASUN Conference play, ending the season tied for 11th in the league standings and missing the ASUN tournament, with the Dolphins scoring 63.3 points per game and allowing 62.6 per game across 29 games.
In his lone Jacksonville season (2022–23), Deans appeared in 16 games and made zero starts, totaling 76 minutes (4.8 minutes per game) and scoring 13 points (0.8 per game) while shooting 5-for-12 from the field (41.7%) and 3-for-6 from three-point range (50.0%), with no free-throw attempts.
